Anyway, it has been uploaded, I had expected to release another snippet or two beforehand... oops? Anyway, enjoy.
Jethro McClintock had a rough time in Pyrax. It hadn't been the pleasant homecoming some had imagined. Far from it. He and the remainder of his squad had returned home with Firefly's convoy in triumph, sure. They had garnered in a wave of changes to Pyrax and the navy. But as he had wrestled with personal changes including the A.I. Bast that Fleet Admiral Irons had fully awoken within him assassins from his past had struck. They hadn't killed him, but they had killed some near him, friends and family near and dear to his heart. Now he has to contend with the grief and move on. Ship out to Agnosta as planned, and from there, wherever the corps needed him. But his new assignment wasn't without some risks, he had a target on his back. But would he be willing to risk it all for another great adventure? And if so, could he balance the call of duty with the call of his heart?
As soon as it goes live on Amazon and B&N I will post the links here.

ReplyDeleteChris do you have a map that you can share? otherwise would anyone like to colaborate on a 3D sketchup map?
ReplyDeleteJoin us at the Federation MilitaryNetwork group on facebook. Jory Gray has posted up a 2D map of the sector. You could probably work with him and Chris to maybe get more information.
DeleteThanks Mike, I found the map. I started playing in sketchup and it should work well. The names all stay upright as you move around in 3D, and you can zoom in to look at a sector, but getting the positions correct in 3D will be the challenge. I'll post in facebook once I have something to share and we can argue, ah I mean collaborate positions.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about facebook posting to remember. The picture ends up a bit scrunched when you post it so it might not look exactly like it does when bringing it up on your own screen. Found that out when I tried to clean the map up myself and make everything clearer then posted it and got my work scrunched lol.
DeleteI started to make the map in 3D a year ago. (In Cinema) I had to shelve it. I'll eventually get back to it and work in the distances Darion and I worked out.
DeleteI was working on each of the individual star systems/groups at one point, using paint. Jory was working on cleaning them up in Adobe at one point.
Minion Mike asked me about the 2 missing star systems from Fools Gold. (I also saw the discussion when I snooped in the FB group) Needless to say I know a lot has evolved and changed since I wrote that book. I need to go over the passage and my notes again to reconstruct my thinking. :)
I cannot find the Facebook page. Does anyone have the link?
