Pirate Rage Launch

Okay, let's try this again.
Sorry for the mix up folks. Goodlifeguide, com and I extend our sincerest apologies.

Anyway, Pirate Rage:

Pieces of the Federation are starting to come together. Star systems are joining the alliance, if only in self defense against the Horathian Pirates. Civilization and the fruits of modern medicine, education, and industry are starting to take root all throughout the sector.
But the Pirates will is indomitable where the Fleet is weakest. They have found just such a weak spot and they have unleashed their wrath onto the defenseless world and its population.
The Fleet must break their grip on the member world then chase them across the sector to stop them from fleeing with their ill gotten gains. Stopping them seems all but impossible, but that isn't the only thing Fleet Admiral Irons and his people have to worry about.
They also have to worry about the Pirate's Rage being inflicted on the helpless worlds they are sworn to protect...

I am fixing the Nook version now that they are allowing me to do so.

If you have already downloaded it, try refreshing it or delete and re-download it. Again, sorry about the misstep folks!

Or as a famous guy says: "Dout!"

  1. Hey Chris, as an inquiring mind I am wondering what system leads to Bek? Is it still considered classified information?

  2. B101a1 has a jump point passage (the rapids) that leads to a series of empty star systems, (B102c,B104,B105) and then to Bek. Nuevo is off of B102c.

That is the OLD map. I just updated it and released the latest version to Jory an hour or so ago. I haven't released the updated Sigma map to the betas yet, it isn't finished.

    1. Is there suppose to be a jump point from Bek to Crellis?

    2. There is a long jump but there are complications with it.

  4. Hey Chris, the story of Admiral Irons and his goal for creating a new Federation is as good and captivating as always. I blew through Pirates Rage and am now waiting on the next book. Been missing Jethro a little. :)

I have noticed there are some spelling and grammar mistakes, not many, but they are there. If you are interested in another set of eyes to look specifically for spelling and grammar I would be happy to lend them.

    Keep up the awesome work!

    1. Thank you. :D
Post a review please. Every little bit helps!
Grammar/spelling... huh. I guess we can't catch them all.

I had a few people asking about Jethro. The plan was to work on J5 next but the climax has to be reworked so now I'm not so sure. I might have to push him back a bit in the write order. I don't want to step on what is coming!

    2. In particilar, there seems to be a problem with homophones and near homophones. Moral (the point of a story, or behavior) where morale (mental health) was meant. Their (belongs to them), there (a place not here), and they're (they are). Tract (a piece of land) instead of track (path).

      Griping series though.

    1. Yes. Jory has posted the updated map at the Facebook fan group. I also posted a more up to date one on this blog somewhere... and I sent Jory the most up to date map yesterday. He should be posting it sometime. You can poke him on the fan group. :)

  7. After finishing Pirates Rage, I re-read Recruiting Drive. I am wondering. What about providing the Marines with a carrier type ship of their "own" that is similar to a amphibious assault ship? Make it a aerospace assault ship =). With the marines providing the fighters, ground crew and shuttles. Then throw in a few Navy bombers.

    1. You are talking about the Chester Puller and other Marine transports I mentioned in PR and other books like J4 I believe. 4 are under construction in PR according to my list of ships, (Chester Puller, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, and General Charlie Cesear)... and a Marine Command ship the General Murtough is under construction in Pyrax with another Marine transport, the General Elliot.
Oh, and 2 pirate troop transports were captured in Destria. They might come in handy later...

Post a review of PR when you get the chance please!

  9. **might be a minor spoiler**

Chris, what about getting the name of system B102C updated to Sargasso in honor of the Caroline crew? One of those things where the navy people start using a unofficial name for a system that sticks.

    1. Good idea!
I already finished 'My Darling Caroline' but that's an easy addition...

  10. So being the curious reader that I am, what book are you going to be working on next?

    1. I finished Tales of the Federation Reborn 1 a week ago. Cover art is done. I started poking at Retribution last week while the Betas catch up on the stories. I might have shot myself in the foot with Retribution and the end of PR, we'll see. Luckily I think I can correct it.

Oh, BTW: Mom's surgery went okay. They took more than she'd hoped. She's recovering slower than we'd like to see. She's supposed to find out about Chemo and stuff Wednesday. We're hoping (and so is she obviously) that she doesn't get much, just a light dose to make sure the cancer is gone.
That's sort of mucking up my writing schedule a bit right now. That and I'm forcing myself to take a bit of time off to catch up on my To-Do list and try Mariokart 8, Mario Maker, and catch up on my movie list. lol

    2. Thanks for the update on your books! I didn't know about your Mom going into surgery but it sounds like she came thru it well. The doctors should be able to take care of anything left over with the chemo. A good friend of mine had to go through chemo while she was pregnant with her second child. Luckily everything went good there.
Enjoy your break and have some fun. I watch some Mariokart video's on youtube from some broadcasters that always make me laugh and it looks like a fun game. Watch out for those blue shells!

    3. Thanks Mike.
She is doing well. We'll find out this weekend if she has to do chemo at all. Hopefully not.

My break wasn't much of a break, I spent 3-4 hours a day working on various things for the books. I've added some entries to the Wiki. The latest (shield nodes) took me 3 days of off and on work to parse out, model, and render.

I hate the blue shells (unless I'm the one launching them!) but I hate the squids the worst! Ugh!
