Court-Martial publishing in 3...2...1!!

Yup, you heard right!
I woke up this morning and checked my email and found Goodlifeguide.com had given me a birthday gift of CM back early! Wow!
I am currently in the process of uploading it to B&N. They are being persnickety. But it has been uploaded to Amazon.
When newly promoted Rear Admiral Horatio Logan returned to Bek carrying orders to relieve the current chain of command, he knew it wasn't going to go well. But his orders were clear, as was his duty so the moment Ilmarinen translated down from hyperspace he transmitted Admiral Irons orders faithfully.
Sure enough things went from bad to worse as he was promptly arrested, brigged, and then sent to detention to await a formal Court-Martial.
However his broadband transmission sent the Republic into a tailspin. As the Court-Martial proceeded, the Republic teetered ever closer to the brink of all out civil war. Horatio is left with a choice, sacrifice his career and his honor by falling on his sword to stop the civil war, or maintain his faith in the service and all it stands for.
But, one thing he does know, he is a Federation flag officer, stubborn to the core and willing to go the distance even if it costs him his life!
I'll post the links when they become available. :)

I am 120 pages and 7 and a half chapters into TGS but it is June, it is hard to write with the family off and the heat on. This weekend is supposed to be cool before the 100+ degree heat sinks in next week, but I'm booked solid apparently. >:P

  3. Hi Chris
Maybe you should consider an introduction like in the attached kindle screen shot

  6. PS Not the biggest fan of throwing pop cultural characters or reference in you book but loved the BULL thing.

    1. Thanks Soren. I deleted your previous comment since it had a major spoiler in it.
Yes I did back myself into a corner with that plot line. But. There is always a but. :)

I'm considering what to write after TGS. I am up to 165 pages and a little more than half through the first act. I've got plenty of time to figure it out. I dunno about BS3. I have only a very hazy plot idea for it at the moment.

    2. Sorry about the spoiler, Thanks for taking what I said to heart sometimes I worry about giving feedback because some people look at it as being negative. I really enjoy your books and next to Brandon Sanderson and the Late James Oliver Rigney, Jr (Robert Jordan) you are a favorite for me to read. Anything I ever post is really out of a desire to help you be a better writer.

  7. Love the series(s) have them all BUT would really have liked a different political model - using the US republican format is just too predictable - politics as a plot element hell yes but there are more representative models to choose from and with all the AI and implant tech live voting and crowd sourced policy development or post scarcity moneyless options seem something to be considered

    1. I considered various political models. Obviously I'm not going with the 2 party format. I wanted to explore the set up when I get to it in the Founding time period. (We the People)
There are some differences though. There are star system governors, sector congresses, the full galactic congress, that sort of thing. Terms are obviously a lot longer. The Executive branch is stronger too.
I tried to find a balance between the US and something along the lines of the Star Wars old Republic.

    1. I am planning a short story in the BootStrap universe for Multiverse 3 and BS3 sometime in the future. (not this year) I am also planning short stories for PRI, AD, and other books in Multiverse 3, and those sequels sometime in the future. (I'm too lazy to check my writing schedule at the moment)

  10. Loved BS#1 1st book of yours that I read. Liked BS#2 after I read it the 2nd time, Can't wait for #3. Loved the short story about Crash Town. Maybe you could do a book of shorts about each of the villages? Oh and I loved Court-Martial! Great job sir. Once again Thank you for taking the time to share your imagination and creativity with us.

    1. Hi Richard,
Thank you! Believe it or not, I needed to read something positive, it has been a rough day.
BS#1 was interesting. #2 was a bit of a stretch but I made it work.
I am going to have a BS, PRI, AD, and other stories in Multiverse 3 later this year.

CM was interesting to write. I'm doing a lot more cross over stuff with TGS with it and J5 and Convoy.

Anyway, thanks for the positive feedback. Please post a review or 2 if you haven't already. Every little bit helps!

Once again thank you for your time and hard work, can't wait for more.

  12. Hi Chris
    Any news regarding TGS?
Did you look in to adding a preview page when you open the eBook on Amazon?
    Regards

    1. He Dream Chaser,
I am just starting the climax of TGS. I nibbled at it today mostly I should say.

Preview page: Hmm. It is all automated by Amazon. They do that. All I do is upload the manuscript, picture, set the price, and give the description and other info.

    2. Thank you for the update, I meant when you open the eBook on kindle you first get a short eBook description with the author bio option to mark it as currently reading on good reads and to follow the author if you don't already. very useful.
I have pasted a link to a photo for you to look at.

    3. I had something like that, but then Amazon stopped doing it with me for some reason. They used to email me about letting my followers know about books but stopped.
They've switched over to a pay to play advertising scheme. You have to pay them per click if you want them to advertise you. The more you pay, the higher they put you in the search criteria. The problem is, it'd cost me half of what I make each month to do their minimum advertising they allow and no guarantee I'd make any of that back.
I'll look into it again when I finish TGS.

  13. I hate the per click advertising model. It is such a rip off. you end up paying for curiosity and it is great for the advertisers but it is not based on sales or revenue generation. It is complete BS

  14. You are right Soren but this is something else completely, just take a look.

      Look on the left side.

The per click advertising model is a rip off. I need to explore things a bit more.

TGS sitrep: The rough draft is done and in the hands of the first 4 betas. If any other betas want a go at it, let me know! I'll do a beta blast sometime this week or next once I get 1 back.

Also, the Jethro in full uniform models are coming along. I suck at the fine detail though. I'd like to say I should have printed them bigger, but I shudder at that. lol I should be done with them sometime this week. When I've got them mounted on a base I'll go and take some pictures. :)
