In Search of Pi is publishing...NOW!

Wow!
Okay, so, yesterday I got the manuscript back from Rea, ran through it, added the TOC and stuff, and then sent it off to Goodlifeguide.com with the full expectation of not seeing it again for 3-10 business days.
But, in the email I added BitCreator's plea. I didn't think much about the chances of it, but apparently they heard! Heard and answered! Last night I got the email with the manuscript back. I'm still in shock.

I also just finished publishing it on Amazon and B&N. :D

About:

Over the years the Reborn Federation has grown despite being at war with the growing Horathian Pirate Empire. Seeing a trend, the crew of the Io 11 went in search of new frontiers in the neighboring Pi sector.
Fleet Admiral John Henry Irons sent along warships to scout the sector and begin putting an end to the piracy rampaging through the galaxy.
It isn't going to be easy though. Pi is a vast sector with a lot of resources but also a lot of dangers. But, the various people like Emily Meia, Captain Mags Vivian, Captain Yasuno and others from Rho are up for the new challenge!

So, yeah, there are more people involved of course, and some many familiar faces plus crossovers with the other books.

I'll post the links when the manuscript goes live at each place.
Edit: Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CP53H9C/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1524781457&sr=1-1&keywords=in+search+of+pi
Enjoy!

EDIT 5/4/18: Did anyone notice the alien ship in the past 2 (and possibly tonight's episode) of Agents of Shield is the cruiser I used on the cover of 1 or more of my books? How cool is that?? They did it way better though.
It got me wondering about Octane and videos again. Sigh...

  5. Finished it today. Love that you went back to fleshing out characters and making us as readers care about them. War is about the person to your left and right and the ending really drove that home. Can’t wait for the next chapter.... is it done yet?

    1. Thank you, please post a review.
I finished act II yesterday. Pi Fight is coming along. I need to do some tweaks and then spell check it and then send it off to the Betas. Then I can focus on the last act. :)

  6. Great book overall. Had a couple of minor disappointments and one big surprise. As for the big surprise (without a spoiler), THANK YOU,I have HATED that character since book one! The minor disappointments, I had kinda hoped Io 11 and Co. would be going along doing a capitalistic Johnny Appleseed routine in Pi...[Apple(seed)(Pi)e]. Lol, sorry. But I guess if I want a story to be written my way I'd have to wright it myself and then put up with people telling how they hoped for something else, lol screw that noise. Well anyway I'll leave a review on Amazon (5 star) and I can't wait for Pi Fight, So you keep writing them and I'll keep buying them. Thanks again for your hard work keeping us entertained.

    1. Thank you.
      Character: ouch? lol
I did have them play Johnny Appleseed for a little bit. But then they, well you know what happened. Things are changing in Pi Fight, let's put it that way. Though, they might get back to their old ways soon enough. :)
I've got 8 or so more chapters left of Pi Fight. Still plugging along, though I'm going to be frustrated when Edison shuts the power off for the day Friday. (routine maintenance)
Knowing my luck (and progress) I'll be a chapter or 2 away from finishing when they do!

  7. I don't know, it seems like you're really flying along in getting these Pi books out to us. And it is much appreciated by many of us. I'd ne more concerned by not having AC than finishing the book honestly. Maybe go take in a movie or two to take advantage of their AC. With the ticket and concessions prices you may need to take out a loan or maybe sell a kidney to see more than one movie but at least you wouldn't be getting roasted alive. I have to go to the DMV Friday and honestly I'd rather get roasted... I HATE crowds! Crowds wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the people.

  8. Well, i liked it and it helped me during my long flight, but i have to tell you, so much bad luck for a bunch of regular spacers ... it's like winning the lottery, just in reverse.
Please get back to the main line, and maybe think about Baen style eArc for those of us who are willing to put up with an unedited version and pay more for reading the books first.

    1. I just finished Pi Fight this week. I'm working on the cover art now.
I'll be getting back to the main story line with Liberty or Death in a week or so.

Richard: I don't do movie theaters, the last time I was in a theater was 1991 when I had a seizure. And I too hate crowds!
Fortunately, it only took them 4 hours to get the power back. It was also only 90 and I keep my house like a tomb when it is hot out to trap the cold air and keep the sunlight out.

  9. Lol, my mother hasn't been in a theater since whenever the Goonies came out. She went to see that and I went into the hospital for almost a week, I got knocked into the deep end of a pool and thought I'd find out how much water I could inhale. The answer by the way is Too Much. And California has got to be one of only a few places on earth where "It was Only 90" can be said with heartfelt conviction, lol. Great news about the book, can't wait.

  10. Chris Finished the book and enjoyed it.

I don't usually do this type but as obvious SciFi fans I think this is something that would bother you. The Expanse has been canceled. I can not tell you what a tragedy this is for SciFi Fans. This is the best SciFi show since the 1-2 Season of BSG. I am deeply sadden and if you have not watched this show catch it on Netflix, it is worth your time. Also might want to find the Change.org petition to save the show through Netflix or Amazon.

Chris, Please forgive me high jacking your blog.

  11. Richard: yipe? Ouch.
    Thanks for the kudos.
    Soren: Thanks too.
It is okay. I struggled with the Expanse (I watch it on Syfy) but I've been getting into it more and more. I didn't think it would last long. The brass like cheap stupid shows. Reality TV and recycled crap, nothing original or that takes a lot of investment.
They also didn't like it that they don't have the rights to air reruns, nor the rights to the DVD etc.
Hopefully someone else will pick it up.
I'm more bummed that AOS isn't coming back until the summer of 2019. I'm almost scared to watch tonight's season finale in case it spoils Avenger's Infinity War.
